With a vessel selected, a day of AIS information will look like this or similar.

../_images/60.jpg

If the Analyze Path button is selected, then individual AIS points are available for further interrogation and will look like this.

../_images/62.jpg

When an individual AIS point is selected, information will be shown as depicted below.

../_images/63.jpg

The information shown consists of Time, date, and lat long.

../_images/67.jpg

Show Path Playback#

../_images/68.jpg

This option allows you to watch an icon of the vessel traveling along the Extended Path. There are 1x, 2x, and 3x options to determine the speed at which you can view this.

Firstly you will see the View Extended Path as shown below.

../_images/69.jpg

Then click the Show Path Playback button to display this view. This includes a vessel icon and a slider bar that allows you to play the last 24 hours of AIS data.

Ship to ship (STS) / Bunkering#

When the workspace icon is selected and accessed, there is a tick box for ‘Show Bunkering Only’.

../_images/bunkering1.png ../_images/bunkering0.png
../_images/bunkeringBlue.png

Once this box is ticked, this will be the only remaining vessel icon (with a corresponding color) on the Theia display. This indicates that Theia has detected and attributed two or more vessels side by side. This is particularly useful when identifying potential illegal activity between vessels.
